GEE Group is excited to partner with a long-term client in the search for a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join their team. Our client is seeking someone with a strong foundation in accounting, a passion for professional development, and a drive to understand the work beyond the numbers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the Finance team in handling journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist site management teams in implementing financial and performance measurement systems.
- Initiate all Capital Purchase Orders in SAP, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- Support the costing of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and manage the submission of Requests for Quotes (RFQs).
- Perform miscellaneous month-end journal entries, including Sales, Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), labor, materials, and overhead.
- Complete Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), journal entries, balance sheets, and other documentation according to established company policies.
- Assist with providing supporting documentation for both internal and external audits.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
- 1-2 years of related experience in an accounting role.
- Previous experience with SAP platform and working in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of costing and experience with taking quotes.
