GEE Group is working with a nationally recognized manufacturing company in its search for a Manager of Project Engineering to lead capital projects across multiple manufacturing plants. This role involves overseeing the development and implementation of manufacturing technology, setting equipment standards, and ensuring project success from concept through execution. Overseeing multi-million-dollar projects, you’ll play a crucial role in advancing our client’s production capabilities and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take lead on planning capital projects
- Lead proposals and the overview of project justification for approval
- Manage electrical and mechanical equipment implementation
- Manage facility improvements and new build projects
- Negotiate and manage contracts for capital equipment purchases.
- Implement and upgrade machine controls/PLCs
- Ensure adherence to company standards for equipment and processes
- Oversee vendors, contractors, and project teams
- Review, approve, and manage equipment design, construction, installation, and operation
- Collaborate with plant teams, ensuring smooth project integration
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and reporting
- Apply Lean Manufacturing techniques to facility and equipment design
Job Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years in engineering and project management, with hands-on plant and equipment experience.
