GEE Group has teamed up with a global manufacturing company in its search for a skilled Customs Specialist to manage and optimize their international shipping process.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

 Data Management: Process and verify international shipment data

 Collaboration: Work with colleagues, vendors, and service providers to gather information and resolve issues.

 Record Keeping: Maintain records for imports and exports.

 Regulatory Updates: Inform the logistics department of industry trends and regulatory changes.

 Process Improvement: Suggest ideas for departmental improvements.

 Compliance: Assist with import/export compliance audits.

 Documentation: Create and maintain shipment documentation.

 Shipment Tracking: Monitor shipments in transit globally.

 Carrier Selection: Choose carriers based on export requirements and arrange import transportation.

 Liaison: Coordinate between sales, carriers, warehouses, and customer service on shipment status.

 KPI Analysis: Analyze import/export KPIs and provide customs clearance documents.

 

Qualifications:

 

 Education: High School diploma; a degree is preferred.

 Experience: 5+ years in supply chain, shipping, customs clearance, and logistics.

 Certifications: specialized training will be provided.

 Technical Skills: Knowledge of HTSUS, SAP preferred, Microsoft Office proficiency.

 Additional Knowledge: General supply chain and logistics knowledge.
