GEE Group has partnered with a leading manufacturer in its search for a Shop Manager for their repair shop and facility, that will oversee all operations within. This role requires a strong background in hydraulic systems, hands-on leadership, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. While mining experience is a plus, it is not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Manage and lead a team of skilled technicians and support staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Repair Shop Management: Oversee daily operations of the repair shop, ensuring that all repairs and maintenance work are completed to the highest standards.
- Hydraulic Systems: Utilize your expertise in hydraulic systems to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment.
- Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce safety protocols, ensuring all activities meet or exceed regulatory and company safety standards.
- Hands-On Involvement: Be actively involved in the repair process, providing guidance and support to the team as needed.
- Facility Management: Ensure the facility is well-maintained, organized, and equipped to handle all repair activities.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in repair processes, efficiency, and safety practices.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a similar managerial role within a repair shop or facility.
- Strong expertise in hydraulic systems; electrical knowledge is beneficial but not essential.
- Experience in implementing and maintaining safety protocols.
- Hands-on leadership style with the ability to mentor and develop a team.
- Mining industry experience is a plus, but not required.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make critical decisions under pressure.
