GEE Group is seeking an experienced Electrician for our client, a leader in the steel industry. This role follows a rotating 4-on, 4-off schedule and focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and upgrading a wide range of production equipment. Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair motors, drives, cranes, controls, and instruments.
- Work on process improvement projects to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Provide electrical support to operations, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Upgrade electrical systems to meet evolving production needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
- Experience in a steel mill environment, preferably with Melt Shop and/or Roll Mill operations.
- Extensive knowledge of AC & DC motors and drives.
- Experience with power systems maintenance.
- Strong background in PLC systems—building, programming, and troubleshooting.
- Solid understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and process systems.
